Rand is a New York-based architect and artist, originally from Homs, Syria, he was born in Damascus where he lived, painted, and worked after receiving his bachelor’s degree in Architecture.

Following the war, Rand left Damascus leaving behind his practice of 30+ years, extended family, and five decades of memories which he then started recreating on blank canvases using oil paint.
